Smith & Wesson No. 3 2nd Model .44 Russian Single Action Revolver, #34949, .44 S&W Russian cal., 7" barrel, nickel finish, smooth walnut two-piece grips, pinned blade front sight, and small notched rear sight located on the top latch, with lanyard ring. Bottom of the grip frame, near the serial number is marked with an "SH" within a diamond, which is the Schuyler, Hartley, and Graham retailer mark. Top of the barrel is marked with the makers information, multiple patent date, and "RUSSIAN MODEL". Matching serial number stamped on inside of the right grip. Condition is very good overall, displaying approx. 50%-60% nickel finish, with spots of general patina, spots of rust patina to the backstrap, and light pitting/erosion scattered throughout. Grips are near fine, with scattered moderate dents and handling marks. Factory lettering is clear. Action functions well for its age. Bore is fair, with visible rifling, and scattered erosion.
